Sita’s Journey to Independence

Before Joining the Program: Sita, a 58-year-old mother of two from a rural village in Nepal, struggled to make ends meet. With limited education and no vocational skills, she relied on sporadic labor jobs that offered minimal income. Her family often faced financial hardships, and Sita dreamed of a better future for her children.

Transformation through Tailoring: In 2022, Sita enrolled in the Life Enrichment Center Nepal’s tailoring program. With determination and hard work, she quickly mastered the basics of sewing, stitching, and garment making. The supportive environment and hands-on training boosted her confidence.

A New Beginning: After completing the program, Sita started her own small tailoring business from home. She began by offering alteration services and soon expanded to making custom clothes for her community. Her business flourished, and she now earns a steady income that supports her family’s needs. Sita’s children can attend school regularly, and she feels empowered to contribute to her community’s development.
